Recommended First Time Usage for Chicken, Steaks, Chops...

Whatever you are cooking with "Not Your Average Cajun Seasoning"

Please follow this Simple Rule of Thumb.

Shake on enough Seasoning to lightly and uniformly coat one side.

Pat on to allow the Seasoning to Adhere, repeat on other side.

Cook as usual.

This will allow you to alter the amount, either more or less, next time.

For Potatoes, Vegetables and other non-meat items, season to taste.

Pumpkin seeds, anyone?

After carving your pumpkins, a wonderful, seasonal treat are roasted pumpkin seeds.  Try toasting them in a broiler or toaster oven with some sesame seed oil and a generous dusting of Not Your Average Cajun Seasoning!  VERY TASTY!

Our Chef has discovered that Spaghetti Squash seeds taste the same as Pumpin seeds!

Greek Pita Sandwiches

Leg of lamb, remove most of the fat, cut into 2 -3 sections, freeze the rest for later.

Coat the lamb profusely with Not Your Average Cajun Seasoning.  Grill to desired doneness. Cut into 1/4" strips/bites and place onto a warmed pita.

Top it with  some Tzatziki Sauce (Greek Yogurt Cucumber/Garlic sauce)

Make your own or purchase in the market.

Add some chopped fresh tomatoes, a few slivers of fresh onion and garnish with Paprika.

ENJOY!!

You can also substitute Chicken or steak for the lamb.

          Seafood Steaks, Fillets

Shake on each side and pat on.

                Now you're getting it!

          Seasoned French Fries

Take your favorite frozen French Fries, place in a large Ziploc bag, shake on Not Your Average Cajun Seasoning, seal the bag and shake.

Spread out in a single layer on a cookie sheet.   I prefer to place them in the broiler, and mix them up several times, rearranging to a single layer until all are crispy on all sides. If you have an electric broiler, keep an eye on them, they can burn before you realize it.

Chef of the Future Burgers

One lb. Ground beef or Ground Turkey

(for a beefy tasting burger, but with less

fat, mix half beef and half turkey)

1 Tbsp. or to taste of "Not Your Average Cajun Seasoning." Mix together, form into patties.

If using pre-formed patties, shake on seasoning, pat on, repeat on other side of burger.  Grill as usual.

               Chops, Pork or Lamb

Same as Your Favorite Steak, but Better!

You can't get more simple than that!

      Your Favorite Steak, but Better

Shake on "Not Your Average Cajun Seasoning" on one side and pat on to adhere, turn over and repeat.

Grill or broil as you usually do to your desired doneness.

          Easy Grilled Chicken

Fresh  or thawed chicken breasts, sliced to halve the thickness.  Shake on  "Not Your Average Cajun Seasoning" on one side of the chicken, pat on to adhere,  turn over and repeat.

                  Grill, Broil or Bake.

Note:   Halving the thickness of boneless chicken not only reduces the cooking time, but insures that the chicken will be juicy, not dried out, over cooked on the outside or underdone on the inside.
