This recipe is perfect for anyone who loves grilled or sauteed mushrooms. These mushrooms are normally grilled, but can also be cooked in a broiler or even a toaster oven. They are perfect for a side dish but are also great for Tailgating or as a Game Day appetizer
You will need:
1 lb Crimini (Baby Bella) mushrooms
Bacon
Toothpicks (soaked in hot water)
Chef of the Future Brand Seasonings, Cajun, SouthWestern, Floribbean, Honey Garlic Bourbon, Coconut Curry or Orange Ginger Pepper
Cooking Spray
Optional:
Gorgonzola Cheese (for stuffing)
Procedure:
For Stuffed mushrooms, clean the mushrooms and remove the stem. Fill the void with Gorgonzola Cheese, and wrap with a slice of bacon, securing the bacon with a soaked toothpick. Soaking the toothpick helps prevent them from burning during cooking or grilling.Apply any one of our seasoning blends to coat evenly, and then use the cooking spray to keep them from sticking to the grill grates and set the seasoning. Grill or broil until the bacon is crisp using a medium heat or offset on the grill.
For unstuffed mushrooms, cut the stem flush with the mushroom bottom and wrap and season as above.
Cheers!
